Mount Budheg itself has a history that is so attached that almost all Tulungagung people know the history of Mount Bhudeg. Besides being told by word of mouth the history of Mount Budheg itself is told a lot through the performing arts and filmed.

A HISTORY OF BHUDEG MOUNTAIN HISTORY

The story of GUUNUNG BHUDEG begins when Pangeran Lembu Peteng fights against Kyai Besari, Roro Kembangsore can separate himself and run to the village of Dadapan. In the village he hitched a widow named Mbok Rondo dadapan. Mbok Rondho has a son named Joko Bodho. Over time Joko Bodho was captivated by the beauty of Roro Kembangsore and was eager to marry him, but was always refused gently by Roro Kembangsore. Because Joko Bodho always insisted, one day when Mbok Rondho was traveling, Roro Kembangsore agreed to Joko Bodho's invitation, as long as Joko Bodho wanted to undergo mbisu penance on a mountain near the village. Joko Bodho agreed to the terms and left home. This promise bond is unknown to Mbok Rondho Dadapan.

Roro Kembangsore also went to the little mountain, so when Mbok Rondho returned, he found the house was already quiet, and it was empty. He went to and fro and called out to the two children. But there is no answer. Finally, he found Joko Bodho, sitting pensively facing west. He was called repeatedly without getting an answer, because of annoyance Mbok rondho forgot and cursed "the boy was hugged how come meneng bae koyo watu (Indonesia: children are called how come it's silent like a rock)". Instantly because of Mbok Rondho's words, Joko Bodho turned to stone. Mbok Rondho was aware of the continuity of his words, so he hoped; "Tomorrow, if there is a lot of mountain age, I will name Mount Budheg". And because he regretted his actions, at the same time Mbok Rondo asked the power to accompany his child, so Mbok Rondo was a tree beside Archa Joko Bodho.

It is said that this tree story will never disappear beyond the height of Joko Bodho Archa, when the mbok rondho incarnation tree is raised and enlarged, the Joko Bodho Archa is expected to get bigger.

On the other hand, it is said that the story of Roro Kembang afternoon is still imprisoned on a small mountain until now, it is not known exactly where the location of this little mountain is, but what is clear is that the small mountain is located in the west, because the archa of Mt.

PEAK MOUNTAIN BHUDEG

On Mount Budheg there are 2 peaks.

when you reach the top you will be on top you will be on the first peak, on this first peak the place is quite wide so you can set up a lot of tents here besides the first peak there is also a watchtower that is used by the management of this mountain to oversee the peak of Mount Budheg.

And if something happens then the guard of this mountain will be notified of you via the radio installed above this tower.

first peak

This second peak stands east of the first peak, if you want to go here you have to travel about 300 meters again to get to the second peak.

Here it can only be used to build no more than three small tents, because this place is not as large as the first peak.

But the advantages of this second peak you can see SUNRISE 30 minutes earlier than the first peak earlier. So you will really be able to see how the sun comes out of the nest hehehe.

ROUTE TOWARDS MOUNTAIN BUDHEG

From the center of Tulungagung we take the direction to the KM Zero crossroad or if it was called the TT crossroad. Then go straight south to the Tamanan intersection and continue straight towards the Beji Bird Market Crossroad. From the crossroad of the bird market, we are still straight until we find a traffic light crossroad and that is the Boyolangu Market Crossing. From this intersection, we still continue straight to the south until about 500 meters. Next, we found the gas station on the right side of the road and 50 meters after that there was a road to the left. We enter through the road and just go straight around 200 meters from the entrance. And we met with the words "Parking place of Mount Budheg". That is the end of the journey using a vehicle and then we continue on foot.

There are 2 climbing routes on Mount Bhudeg, the northern route and the southern route.

If you want to quickly get to the top you are better off taking the northern route, and if you want to enjoy the scenery along your climb you can take the southern route.

WHAT'S THE UNIQUE OF THIS PLACE ???

Once you reach the top of Mount Budheg you will see a herd of monkeys roaming around you. These monkeys live on the cliffs around Mount Bhudeg. Even though there have been no cases of this ape attack on visitors you must be careful and watchful because the monkeys in this place are not docile. But as long as you don't disturb them, I'm sure they won't disturb them either.

For those of you who stay at this place, if you are lucky in the morning you will see the entire plain below Mount Bhudeg will be covered with thick fog so that this place is above the clouds. This is why this mountain peak is often called the land of clouds.

If you go through the south path then you will pass a wooden house when you want to start climbing. This wooden house is used as a resting place for climbers who have come down from the summit as well as a place to fill out your personal data, so that nothing unexpected happens.

If you look more closely around this place, then you will see some ancient pottery statues and crafts that are placed around this place. According to residents around the objects were found on Mount Budheg itself. I don't know who put these objects on Mount Budheg, but what is certain is that the age of those objects is quite old because the people themselves do not know what they are and why they are on Mount Budheg.

I think that's enough discussion about Mount Bhudeg from me, if there is more or less I apologize and thank you for stopping by and reading articles about Mount Budheg on our Blog.
